John Jerabek
is a shareholder and CFO of Niemi, Jerabek &
Kretchmer. He has devoted his legal practice to issues
involving children and families in the areas of family
law, juvenile law, adoption law, and appellate advocacy.
Jerabek has been selected to the Minnesota Super
Lawyers list since 2002, as well as the Top 25
Super Lawyers Appellate Law list and the Top 40
Super Lawyers Family Law list. He is an Adjunct
Professor of Family Law at William Mitchell College of
Law, and has been a frequent lecturer on children's
advocacy issues both locally and nationally.
Jerabek has
authored numerous articles on family law issues,
including, remedies for interference with parenting time
rights, modification of custody and parenting time,
modification of spousal maintenance, interstate and
intrastate removal of children, de facto
and interested third-party custody disputes and
grandparent custody and visitation. He has
represented guardians for abused and neglected children,
primarily in the 2nd (Ramsey) and
4th (Hennepin) Judicial Districts since 1998,
and has frequently appeared before the Minnesota
Appellate Courts.
Jerabek is an
active member of the Minnesota State Bar Association and
the National Association of Counsel for Children.
He received his J.D. from William Mitchell College
of Law and a B.S. in Government from St. John's
University in Collegeville. Jerabek is admitted to
practice before the Minnesota Supreme Court (1994),
Minnesota Federal District Court (1995) and the United
States Supreme Court
(2002). |
